Advent Times
There is much more poetry relevant to the Advent times, not the least of which is contained in the prophecies of Isaiah and Zechariah.
Mary during the first Advent did not know that there would be no room in Bethlehem for the birth of the Holy Child.
But in obedience to temporal powers of the day and filled with confidence in the power of God she dragged her heavily pregnant body from Nazareth to Bethlehem.
Both she and Joseph trusted in the Power of God to triumph over all.
And, in His Son, born in a stable, laid in a manger, threatened refugee, apprentice to His carpenter father in a small Israelite town, God's Power did just that.
God's Power overcame the dark powers which were threatening the world.
