Waiting with Mary [Part Seven: Final]

Army of God
  Our penultimate poem is another contribution from Calvinistic Anglican George Herbert.
  The poem, although it has a powerful impact, only consists of two stirring lines.
  The title "Ana-(Mary/Army) gram" incorporates the word "anagram" which means a transposition of the letters of a name, word or phrase, to create a new one.

          ANA-(MARY/ARMY)-GRAM
          How well her name an Army doth present
          In whom the Lord of Hosts did pitch his tent!

There is reference hereto Jesus Christ, the Rider called Faithful and True, Leader of the Heavenly Armies against the powers of evil.
  He is known as 'King of Kings and Lord of Lords'. [Revelation 19:11-16].
  Even those who executed Him unwittingly acknowledged His Divine Royalty; 'Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews' [John 19;19].

Divine Trinity
  Our final poem; Hawker [1804-1875] encapsulates the union between the Divine Trinity and the Blessed Virgin in three lines as follows:

        The Threefold and the One;
        Her God upon her lap: the Virgin-Bride,
        Her Awful Child, her Son.
